 Last month, I went to the Inner Mongolia customer for maintenance. The workshop director Lao Ma dragged me straight to the milk powder packaging line: "Look! This spiral feeding rod is almost like a lollipop!" That's right, the agglomerated milk powder is like frosting and covers the spiral shaft - a typical electrostatic adsorption. On the way back to the factory, I thought: It's time for the feeding mechanism of our powder packaging machine to wear "anti-electric armor"!

Everyone in this industry knows that powder packaging machines are most afraid of encountering delicate powders. When the equipment of the flavor factory was being renovated last year, technician Xiao Zhao stared at the monitoring screen and scratched his head: "The spiral rod is covered with a layer of 'powder sweater' after three turns, and the production capacity has dropped by 20%!" The root cause of this electrostatic adsorption problem is the accumulation of charges generated by the friction between the metal spiral and the powder. The traditional method is to either install an ion fan or add an anti-caking agent to the raw materials, but these tricks are only temporary solutions.

Our workshop has tried more than 20 coating materials and finally chose a conductive composite material. This baby is brushed on the spiral feeding mechanism of the powder packaging machine, just like putting a conductive autumn coat on the metal parts. When demonstrating to a Hunan customer last week, their process director pinched the coating sample and laughed: "This feel is like touching my non-stick pan!" Don't tell me, the surface resistance value of the spiral shaft after spraying directly dropped to the safe zone, and the amount of electrostatic adsorption was 70% to 80% less than that of ordinary coatings.

The tricks of the spraying process are all in the temperature curve. When we coat the feeding mechanism of the powder packaging machine, we have to "steam sauna" the metal surface first. High-temperature pretreatment allows the coating material to bite the substrate like syrup seeping into cookies. It is difficult to fall off even with sandpaper, let alone daily friction. Once, when I was renovating old equipment for a Southeast Asian customer, their engineer looked at the baking spiral shaft and kept muttering: "Are you doing manicure on the machine? And you even use a baking lamp!"

What I am most proud of is the adaptive spraying technology. The corners of the spiral feeding mechanism cannot be reached by ordinary spray guns. We have renovated the six generations of spray gun heads, and now even the thread grooves can be colored evenly. After a seasoning factory in Jiangsu changed to our coating solution, the pepper powder packaging machine in the workshop never "sneezed" again - in the past, the workers had to stop the machine every half an hour to clean the powder, but now it can run for eight hours without jamming.

At present, the spiral shafts of the row of powder packaging machines to be renovated in the workshop are queuing up to wear "anti-electric armor". Last month, Shandong customer Lao Zhou sent me a video showing that the modified equipment was running lotus root powder smoothly: "I should have found you earlier! This spiral rod is now so clean that it can be used as a mirror!" To me, this anti-static coating technology is like putting a pair of anti-slip boots on the powder packaging machine, which is both stable and brisk.

Next time if you see the spiral feeding mechanism wrapped in a "powder cotton jacket", don't rush to change the equipment - maybe a layer of our conductive coating can give your powder packaging machine a new life!
