"Stubborn" particles finally bow their heads - Recording the upgrade of particle packaging machine of a pet food company

 "Mr. Wang, please feel this bag of cat food. The large particles are like freeze-dried food, and the small particles are like crumbs. If I can pack it smoothly, I will send a banner to your factory!" In the late autumn of last year, in the workshop of a pet food factory in Shandong, the purchasing manager smiled bitterly while holding a handful of mixed grain. Their original equipment had to be shut down for clearing more than a dozen times a day, and particles of different particle sizes "fought" in the packaging process, which became a dead end restricting production expansion.

When our sales team conducted on-site inspections, it happened to be the seventh time that the equipment was stuck. The operator Lao Zhouwei complained while disassembling the equipment: "This imported equipment is very expensive, but it is like a tantrum child when it comes to mixed particles." Three days later, he came again with a customized particle packaging machine plan. Technical manager Lao Li pointed to the spiral feeding mechanism on the drawing and explained: "Our generation of equipment is equipped with a multi-channel weighing system. The coarse grains and fine grains are separated and finally gathered in the former, so that the particles can be 'queued' into the bag."

What impressed customers most was the anti-stuck material design. During the installation, the after-sales Xiao Liu deliberately grabbed a handful of freeze-dried meat particles with the most irregular shapes for testing. The vibrating screen of the new equipment seemed to have eyes. The large particles went through the main channel and the debris went through the flanks. When encountering particularly stubborn "thorns", the flexible scraper returned to its position with a light push. The workshop director Lao Ma stared at the equipment that had been running continuously for two hours and muttered: "It's weird. This particle packaging machine really cured the problem of 'picky eating'."

The real test is in the mass production stage. The customer has a cat food with three particle sizes for weight loss. The original packaging always showed stratification - large particles sank to the bottom and small particles floated up. Our engineers installed an intelligent deviation correction device on the particle packaging machine, using airflow fine-tuning to evenly mix different particles. The quality control manager took the cut new packaging bag for comparison: "The upper, middle and lower layers of the bag were clearly separated before, but now they are even as if they have been stirred."

The convenience of maintenance made the equipment supervisor Lao Zhao give a thumbs up. When he visited last month, he was cleaning the feeding port: "The old equipment had to disassemble seven or eight parts to clean the residual particles. Now the quick-disassembly structure of this particle packaging machine can be done while drinking tea." What surprised him most was the self-cleaning function - after completing 200 bags of packaging, the equipment automatically cleans the key parts with pulse airflow, and there are no more scattered particles on the workshop floor.

Flexible production capacity is the killer. Before "Double Eleven" last year, the customer received a temporary hot-selling order and needed to process 500g large packages and 50g trial packs on the particle packaging machine at the same time. We added a dual-channel filling module to the equipment overnight, and the production line was switched at 8 a.m. Xiao Wang from the e-commerce department was delighted when he saw the packaged samples: "Now we don't have to change the line for different specifications of granules, it's as convenient as changing the shell of a mobile phone."

I recently went to the factory for annual maintenance and met the purchasing manager who was trying to pack new products. The training dog food with five shapes ran happily on the conveyor belt, and the robot arm of the granule packaging machine grabbed it accurately like dancing waltz. He counted on his fingers: "The defective rate has dropped by 80%, and the downtime has been reduced from three hours a day to half an hour. This granule packaging machine production line has now become our 'stabilizing force'."

What makes us even more proud is the subsequent industry ripples. Last month, a grain factory in Qingdao came to inspect and saw the production scene of the pet food workshop, and signed an order for three granule packaging machines on the spot. Their production manager said honestly: "Even cat and dog food can be packaged neatly, so how can our red beans and mung beans be a problem?"

Standing on the viewing platform of the customer's workshop and looking down, six granule packaging machine production lines are spitting out pet food with different formulas. The sun shines through the glass onto the shiny equipment, and those once unruly granules now lie obediently in the packaging bags, waiting to bring healthy and delicious food to the furry children. This scene is more exciting than any sales data.
