In the food, medicine and other industries, low-temperature heat sealing technology can effectively avoid high-temperature deformation of materials and improve the sealing of packaging. In view of the common pain points of low-temperature heat sealing process of packaging machines, we propose the following parameter optimization solutions based on industry experience to help factories improve production efficiency and product quality.
1. Optimization of temperature control system
Core temperature range setting
The heat sealing temperature of the packaging machine needs to be dynamically adjusted according to the material characteristics. For example, it is recommended to control biodegradable materials in the range of 250-300¡æ, and composite film materials can refer to the melting temperature to reduce 10%-15%.
Reduce errors by calibrating temperature sensors (such as PT100) to ensure that the deviation between the displayed temperature and the actual heat sealing temperature is ≤5¡æ.
Reduce temperature fluctuations
The heating module of the packaging machine needs to be cleaned of dust regularly to avoid temperature control failure caused by uneven heat dissipation.
The PID intelligent temperature control system is used to replace the traditional on-off temperature control to reduce the temperature fluctuation range to within ±3¡æ. 2. Pressure balance adjustment
Sealing pressure adaptation
The recommended pressure for single-layer film packaging is 2-3kg/cm², and the composite film can be increased to 3-4kg/cm² to compensate for the material thickness.
The bag pressing strips of the packaging machine need to be kept parallel to avoid pressure deviation leading to partial false sealing or melting.
Dynamic compensation mechanism
For differences in film thickness (such as 0.02-0.08mm), an adaptive pressure sensor is configured for real-time adjustment.
The silicone gasket is replaced once a quarter to ensure stable buffering performance.
3. Material matching and process adaptation
Heat sealing layer selection
Preferably use high heat sealing materials such as LLDPE, which can achieve high-strength sealing at low temperatures.
The composite film containing aluminum foil needs to extend the preheating time to 8-10 minutes to avoid insufficient melting of the heat sealing layer.
Machine speed linkage control
When the packaging machine runs at a speed exceeding 30 bags/minute, the heat sealing temperature is simultaneously increased by 3-5¡æ to compensate for the shortened contact time.
4. Equipment maintenance and calibration
Periodic maintenance
Check the oxidation of the heating strip of the packaging machine every month and clean the carbonized residue in time.
Calibrate the temperature control module every quarter to verify the consistency of the sensor resistance and the calibration value.
Environmental adaptability optimization
When the workshop temperature fluctuates more than ±5¡æ, recalibrate the heat sealing parameters of the packaging machine.
